Cazenovia Children’s House, Inc./My School (CCH) has been providing quality childcare and preschool education for families in this area since 1970. CCH is a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status and is licensed by the New York State Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS).
We enroll children from six weeks of age through twelve years or fifth grade. Programs are located in our main facility at 2757 Route 20 East in Cazenovia, New York and at locations in the village of Cazenovia. CCH admits children regardless of race, gender, color, national origin or religion. Parents, families and guardians are welcome to visit and are encouraged to participate in our programs at any time.
CCH has grown from a small, half-day Montessori program established in 1970 to our current comprehensive child development programs serving over 150 families who live and work in the greater Cazenovia area. The center incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1985, with a volunteer board of directors comprised of parents/guardians, educators, and community and business members.
CCH has expanded several times. In 1991, we celebrated a major achievement with the construction and opening of our Route 20 facility, designed expressly for infants, toddlers, pre-school and primary age children. Funding was received through a grant and low interest loans from the state, private donations, and local community donations of land, services and equipment. In 1994, CCH expanded again and moved the 2 ½ hour pre-school and school age programs into village locations.
CCH continued the organization’s mission by welcoming a Madison County Head Start program to locate in the Route 20 facility. The Head Start program is a comprehensive child development program for low income children ages three to five years and their families.
